Welcome to Burkwood Aquatic ClubWe are parent-run nonprofit organization. We offer a year round swimming program of instruction, training and competition for swimmers ages 4-19 years old. This program strives to instill in young people high self-esteem, personal responsibility, sportsmanship, self-motivation and an understanding of goal setting and achievement; all through the sport of competitive swimming. The BAC swim program is designed with long-term growth progression in mind. The swim groups are set up so swimmers move from one swim group to the next higher performance group as their skills improve and they mature both physically and emotionally. The coaching staff works together to insure the appropriate and smooth transition from one swim group to the next. MORE>>

PRACTICE CHANGES
Back to normal...for the moment.
Just a reminder, BAC does not follow school closings. A determination upon whether we have practice or not is dependent upon 1. Whether or not BSRC is open. 2. Safety of travel to and from practice. As always you should use your own discretion (with safety in mind) whether or not to attend practices. Check the website or call the office for updates. As a final resort call Coach George at 516-7378. PICTURE COMMITTEE Wendy and Rob Johnson are heading up the team's end of year video that we show at the Team Award's Ceremony. Wendy is looking for a few volunteers who would like to serve on the Picture Committee. Basically she is looking for parents who would like to take pictures at swim meets, practices, and other team functions and then send them to her for both publication on the team website during the year and to use for the video at the end of the year. If you already have pictures (or video) that you would like to donate to the cause, and/or would like to serve on the committee and help provide a historical tracking of the team through pictures please contact Wendy Johnson at either Hailey_Annie@comcast.net or 804-550-2154. |
